Impromptu HTML & CSS Refresher
and why am I not great at blogging?
I’ll be the first to admit, I did my web-dev bootcamp a few years ago and if I’m being 100% truthful I’ve built exactly one website since it ended.
While that website was just HTML and CSS, one website does not a practiced web developer make and it was a little bit of a learning curve to get the resume written out.
It was fun though, brushing off the dust and actually getting stuck into doing something beyond study to push my career in the direction it wants to go. My teacher has also offered to be a reference for me which is super cool and has the ancillary bonus of meaning when I sent him the link to my resume I had to learn how to clear the cloud front cache (but more about that later).
Right now I am pleased that it is up and should my teacher offer any counsel as to its contents I will oblige, however I am happy to leave it as-is and leave any tweaking (for example making the phone numbers of my referees hyperlinks to dial) until I have completed the challenge.
Anyway, It’s up, at

In all its beige glory. Go have a look.
SIDE NOTE: There is a distinct gap between my initial blog post and this one. This is because:
A: I work in a bar and the holiday period was uncouth. I was working some pretty big hours and wanted to get through that
B: Blogging is something I have never done before. I mean… I’ve written nightly reports for venues, I thought it would be the same, right?
Wrong.
First shortcoming noted. Blogging is now in my sights.
Must.
Blog.
